G-RAID reset now has a "1" added to its name

Postby thetallest » Sep 25th, '13, 06:50

I recently ejected and reset my G-RAID, and when I checked its properties, I noticed it said "G-RAID 1" under Name and Extension. Why was the 1 added, and is there anyway to change it back to just "G-RAID"?

Hi thetallest,

Thanks for posting. By reset the drive to you mean you powered it off and on? I'm not sure why it would add a 1 to the name at the end unless it thought another drive of the same name was attached to the computer. You may want to restart your computer and if the 1 is still there you can use get info on the drive by either holding down control and clicking on the drive or after the drive is highlighted hold down command and press I. You will fine a name section that expands where you can rename it.
Regards

Yes, I saw that section, but when I tried to delete the "1", it just adds it back in.

Return to G-RAID
