Upgrade Options

Postby Aristophanes » Jun 4th, '13, 09:13

I have an older G-Drive Q with a perfect enclosure (built to last) I am looking to upgrade it to 2 or TB if possible.

Part # 913004-01

Not sure what SATA drive would work. Whether a 32MB or 64MB cache makes a difference. Or especially if SATA 1, 2, or 3 is acceptable.

Also, can controller boards be upgraded? It seems shame what to do with such a durable and well-made enclosure.

Thanks.

Hi Aristophanes,

Thanks for your post. The largest drive you may be able to use would be 2TB, the chipset would not allow larger. Unfortunately, we do not sell any parts to upgrade your controller. Please let me know if you have any questions.
