Drive stops responding and then shows up as unformated

Postby akhome » Jun 14th, '13, 10:42

This is the second time this has happened. I'm a photographer and use the Q for storage of my client's images.

The drive slowly stops responding and locks up the app I'm using to edit the image. I have to reboot to get the PC to respond. During startup the drive is identified but is inaccessable without formating. It shows up as Healthy in Disk Management.

I have a 6TB in RAID 5 connected to a PC runningh Windows 7 with the eSATA cable.
Please help!
THanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your post. Have you tried other ports or cables? Are there any unusual sounds or activity? Does the G-SPEED Q have any indicator lights lit or blinking? Please let me know if you have any questions.
