G-Drive Slim 500GB 3.0 not reading by TV

Postby Jollyprice » Jun 9th, '13, 23:40

Hi everyone!
I have a G-Drive Slim 500GB 3.0. I format in NTFS to use as external HDD with my Samsung Tv. Tv recognize it, but don't read any file I put into the HDD. I have a Verbatim HDD 3.0 formatted NTFS and there's no problem. Both are 2.5" HDD. Any ideas?

This afternoon I try to create a FAt-32 partition to see if this is the problem.

Thank for attention.

Hi Jollyprice,

Thanks for your post. Most TVs and DVRs require the use of FAT32 formatting on hard drives such as the G-DRIVE Slim to work properly. Try using that and see if that works, keep in mind that you may need to change the Partition Map Scheme to Master Boot Record, the TV may not recognize GUID properly. Please let me know if you have any questions.
