G-RAID mini with USB 3.0 - FW800 - eSata?

Postby Fuzarca » Feb 5th, '13, 04:35

Hello!
Long time no read.
Does anybody know if is there any plan to come up with a new G-RAID mini with eSata, FW800 and USB 3.0 ports?
I am thinking about buying a new portable RAID enclosure and seeing that USB 3.0 will be the next more compatible and economic high speed transfer interface (Thunderbolt seems too expensive for not so much increase in speed and certainly less compatibility), I though it would make sense in a RAID unit.
Inxtron/Akitio has already their Taurus mini Super S3 with these three interfaces (http://oyendigital.com/images/minipro_raid_tray.jpg).
Will G-Technology be up for the challenge?
Regards,

Ok, just now I saw that on January 7th G-T announced an update of the G-RAID mini with 2 x 1TB 7200 RPM drives, 2xFW800 and USB 3.0 but no eSata. (http://www.g-technology.com/news/pdf/CE ... _FINAL.pdf)
The question is now when will it be on the stores.
