4TB GDRIVE STOPPED MOUNTING AND I HEAR CLICKING SOUND..

My G tech 4 Tb HARDDRIVE stopped mounting and I hear a clicking sound...please advise how I can recover
the files on drive

Hi David,

The first thing you would want to do is verify that you are using the correct power adapter as sometime it can get mixed up and a power adapter with too low of amperage could cause a clicking. if you have a g-drive the output of the power adapter would be 12v 2a, if you are using a g-raid it would be 12v 4a. If the power adapter is correct for your drive then the problem is most likely mechanical and would need to be sent to a data recovery service that could examine the drive in a clean room environment.
