I wonder if I can create a Raid-10 setup with 2 G-Raid Thunderbolt (2x4TB)? Currently I am running a single G-raid Thunderbolt (2x4TB) for Movie and pictures. To increase performance and gain redundancy I thought about Raid 10. Is this possible?

Hi willibald,

Thanks for your post. It is possible to setup a RAID10 with (2) G-RAID Thunderbolt 4TB drives. You would do this in Disk Utility. I would recommend creating two mirrors first with each drive separately to avoid confusion. After creating the 2 mirrors, click on the + sign and create a third Striped RAID. You then drag Mirror1 and Mirror2 into RAID3, I called mine RAID10, then click apply. Here is a link to instructions: The read/write speeds of the 4TB RAID10 are around 265MB/sec. I would recommend a utility like RaidEye to monitor the health of your array. Please let me know if you have any questions.
