Replacing HD's with bigger HD's

Postby Jeroen Jas » Jul 9th, '14, 04:46

Hi there,

I would like to know if I can replace the two 2TB SATA disks in my 4TB G-RAID with Thunderbolt for 2 bigger SATA disks? Like these ones; 4TB HGST NAS HDD H3IKNAS40003272SE.

Does the controller accept bigger disks?

I know any guarantee will be lost and it's at my own risk, but the guarantee was already gone.

Hope to hear form you soon.

Cheers, Jeroen Jas

Hi Jeroen,

Thanks for posting. The G-Raid TB will handle larger drives. HGST are what have been tested in the unit so it is good that you were looking to that option. Should be no problem placing 4TB drives in it.
