Running g-speed controller and rocket raid sas controller

Postby craighellen » Dec 19th, '13, 13:05

Hi guys,

Im running a mac pro 2010 and have been using a highpoint rocket raid sas card in it to control a raid 5 sas enclosure.

I recently purchased a g-speed es and the g-tech esata raid controller.

Plugged it in and it would appear that the web ui uses the same local host as the web ui for the sas rocket raid card.

I have tried switching the port to a different number but i still can only see either my sas array through the highpoint ui, or if i uninstall that and instAll the g-tech esata raid software, i can see that. Not both

Both sets of raids are configured and working but i want to be able to manage and monitor both...

Any ideas???

Hi craighellen,

Thanks for posting. In order to correct this issue you will need to modify the config file for the web gui. Here is how to do so.

Conflict issue with HighPoint WebGUI

Both Highpoint WebGUI and In-band Management use http port 7402 by default.
If Highpoint WEBGUI was installed for Non-OBM HighPoint controllers in one
system, please change listening http port value for In-band management server.
edit config file "/usr/share/hptibm/hptibmsvr.conf" and add string
"<configport>7411</configport>" under section "<root>".

For example, original content of "<root>" section:
<root>
<controller0>
<httpport>7412</httpport>
<cliport>7414</cliport>
</controller0>
</root>
After modified of "<root>" section:
<root>
<configport>7411</configport>
<controller0>
<httpport>7412</httpport>
<cliport>7414</cliport>
</controller0>
</root>

Save file and restart server, then access In-band management using URL http://localhost:7411.
Regards

We didnt find the files you were talking about however we did find a different file (hpt.ini) in the directory.

In the hpt.ini file there was this:
serverport 7402
eventport 7403
remoteaccess 1
alarmenabled 1
hdtempthreshold 60
autorebuild 0
continuerebuildonerror 0
rebuildpriority 50
spindownidlediskminutes 0

Can this file help?

Return to G-SPEED eS
