Hi Ulli,

Sorry for the delay. If it is set not to index and still will not spin down even if ejected it may be a driver conflict left over from an older version of the mac OS. We have only seen this happen on systems that upgraded to 10.9. It does not happen on clean installs of 10.9. You may want to look into performing a clean install of the Mavericks operating system on your computer.

1 more question: I eject the g-drive manually. Even than, it does not spin down. Is this normal?

Hi Ulli,

If it is not spinning down even after the drive is ejected then it is the driver conflict I mentioned in my last post. Should look into performing a clean install.

Thank you for your help. But I do not want a clean install now. Everything works well for years now.
Today I have conected my drive via USB and now everything works as it should, except the speed. I can live with it.
Regards Ulli
