TECH G-DRIVE 7200 RPM powersupply in Japan

Postby inkrag » Jan 8th, '14, 05:41

Hi there,
I'm wondering if the G-Technology drives can be plugged in and powered on the Japanese grid as it has lower voltage. I'm relocating and am worried that my desktop drives will not work. I'm currently in the UK. If I need to buy a new drive suited for Japan does G-Technology produce them and if so, where can I buy one online from the UK? Help very much appreciated. Many Thanks

Hi inkrag,

Thanks for your post. The power adapter included with the G-DRIVE is auto-sensing, so it can work with voltages from 100V to 240V. You just need to use the proper receptacle to use the drive. Please let me know if you have any questions.
