Configurator can't find either of my G drives

Postby anthony_batista » Jun 12th, '14, 19:38

Not sure what's up? Trying to set my brand new G raid Mini to a raid 1. I'm running a mac with )S 10.9.2 and after launching the configurator I get the massage of it searching for G tech systems. This might take a moment. Never finds it.

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for posting. A few things to check for this. If you are using a usb 3 equipped g-raid mini or a usb 2 equipped with a serial number ending with -JM, then you need to use the JMicron configurator. If it is usb 2 and the serial does not end in -JM then you need to use the oxford configurator and it must be connected via usb. The drive should be the only external storage connected to the computer and should be connected directly, not through a hub, or extension cable.
Regards

Dustin
