Retrieving data from G-Slim

Postby Kendal1 » Mar 5th, '14, 22:56

So . . . I've backed up "everything" to my G-Slim external hard drive.
Now . . . how do I retrieve the data that's stored there? How do I transfer it so I can read it on my computer?
All assistance gratefully received.

Hi Kendal1,

Thanks for posting. If you backed up using time machine you can find instructions on how to restore your files in a guide from apple. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1427

Nope -- I do not understand the "instructions."
Never mind. I'll call tech support via Express Lane.

Did you realize that under the Apple menu, the Mac version is, for example, 10.9.2; but in any text about the various versions, we have Mountain Lion, Puma, Leopard, Tiger -- with no correlation to the version numbers? This has had me roaring and snarling for many years. Just sayin'.
