What is Thunderbolt?
Thunderbolt in an input/output hardware interface, developed by Intel in cooperation with Apple, which allows for external devices to be connected to a computer. Thunderbolt combines PCI Express and DisplayPort, as well as a DC connector for power, in a single connection, passing through a single Thunderbolt cable.
