I recreated my raid using the web GUI but I don't see my hard drive on the desktop

After creating or recreating a new RAID with the G-Speed eS web GUI my drive does not show up on my desktop.

Creating a new RAID using the G-Speed eS web GUI is the first of two steps.

In order to get the drive to mount on the desktop one must first format the drive using Apple's Disk Utility application.
