Why is there a USB Y-Cable?

There are some situations in which a USB port on your computer may be unable to provide enough power to the G-CONNECT. If your G-CONNECT is experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Drive does not appear on the Desktop (Mac) or Computer (Windows)
  • G-CONNECT is making a clicking sound after being connected over USB

 

If either of these occur try connecting both USB plugs into your computer for additional power.
