How to Connect as a Network Drive over Ethernet (Mac OS® & Windows®)

With the G‑CONNECT connected via Ethernet to your home Wi-Fi router you can mount G‑CONNECT as a network attached drive on your network to enjoy your existing Wi-Fi as well as have access to your digital content on the drive.

Configuration on Mac OS

  1. Open Finder and you will see G-CONNECT listed under SHARED in the left pane.

  2. Select G-CONNECT from the list and click Connect As...

  3. Enter the G-CONNECT Username (Admin or Guest) and Password just as you would when trying to sign into the device through the iPad, iPhone or Web Application and click Connect.

Now that the G-CONNECT appears on your Mac Desktop, you can transfer files to and from the device like any directly attached drive.

Configuration on Windows

  1. Open Computer and click on Map network drive.

  2. The Map network drive pop-up window will appear.

After clicking OK the drive will appear in Computer as a drive.

  5.
