Setting up G-Speed eS Pro for Mac or Windows

Setting up G-Speed eS Pro for Mac or Windows

  1. Remove your G-Speed eS Pro from its packaging. G-Speed eS Pro requires a Mini-SAS RAID controller, which you will need to install in your computer prior to setup of your G-Speed eS Pro.( G-Technology recommends the ATTO ExpressSAS R680 x8 PCIe Mini-SAS RAID Controller)
  2. Connect your G-Speed eS Pro to your RAID controller using a Mini-SAS cable, and then connect the power cord.
  3. Power on the G-Speed eS Pro using the switch on the back of the unit. The Drive Module and Power LEDs will light up blue.
  4. Configure the RAID for your according to your RAID controller’s instructions. Once the RAID array is configured you will be able to format the unit with your operating system’s disk utilities.
