Playing and Viewing Content

There are a variety of ways to play and View your content. The following methods highlight some of the recommended ways to view your content while travelling, at home, in the office or just on the go.

Play your Videos and View your Photos
For the best viewing experience while you are on the go, we recommend using the G-CONNECT Mobile App for your iPad or iPhone to watch your favorite videos TV shows and photos. To get the G-CONNECT Mobile App, please visit the iTunes App store*.

To view your content with your personal computer you can connect to your G-CONNECT as a network drive. You can use your native system applications to view and play your content.

You can also view your content with DLNA compatible devices and software applications. This would include some popular game consoles, DVD players, Digital Media adapters and Flat Screen TVs. By default DLNA streaming is enabled and content in the Public folder is available to be shared. This is a great way to watch movies, listen to music, or share your photos.

Listen to Music
Access your G-CONNECT content through iTunes. By default iTunes Sharing is enabled and content in the Public folder is available. Music stored on your G-CONNECT can be shared with iTunes, giving you access to stream your favorite band through your computer or Apple AirPlay devices.

Present your Documents
Connect to your G-CONNECT as a network drive through your personal computer. Use your native system applications to view and edit your documents.

Web Browser Application
For basic access to your content through Web-enabled devices, the web browser application allows you to play, view and manage small groups of files as well as update preferences.
