How does the G-CONNECT software categorize the content stored on the G-CONNECT?

How does the G-CONNECT software categorize the content stored on the G-CONNECT?

As soon as a file has been placed onto G-CONNECT, the device begins the indexing process. The indexing process consists of discovering the files and then generating thumbnails of the content. This file indexing is important because it powers the unique browsing features of the G-CONNECT web application and mobile apps. This process places the content into one of four categorizes; Photos, Videos, Music and Documents. This unique feature allows users to easily access and experience their content by clicking on a button to view all of their content in a desired category.
